Font color option not working... - Page 2

It's working fine when I send a quick reply, but if I send a normal reply or try to change the colour of the font in my siggy It doesn't.

I can't PM anybody anyway cuz I'm under 18

I'm not too bothered about it anyway I just wanted to change my sig.

Thanks

Oh my gosh...
I have the drop down font color menu when I use quick reply.
The window look like Standard Editor.

Thanks for that color name link.

I went into work today to find my boss fuming about his PC - he's the only one who uses IE, and after I told him to uninstall the latest Windows update, everything was peachy.

However, I forgot to turn off the Windows automatic update feature after uninstalling that file, so it was installed again when I turned on my computer this evening.

At the moment, I'm using IE, clicked the normal reply button to post, and the color box is working. Go figure.

A reminder...
Regarding posing and PM issues,
some of us still don't have the Standard Editor, with with font color drop down menu active, except in the quick reply option.

Is this still the case, Lei? Some issues were resolved last night.

When I use the quick reply option, such as now, the font color drop down menu works.
In "Reply" it still does not.

Thanks for asking Trica.
If there is a change, I will let you know.

There still seem to be a few glitches following the upgrade. You and Rigel are now listed as my "friends", and if anybody clicks on statistics in my public profile, they get to see Rigel's gifts. Don't be surprised if my gift show up in yours.

Oh, well, it keeps life interesting, and is being worked on.

IE6 still not working for me. Not that big of a problem, it works fine in my other browsers.

I have been following this thread closely because Lei and I have the exact same problem. Just wanted whoever to know that it is not just her having the same problem! And after 38 replies I am still in the dark.

Hi - I used to be able to change the font color of my postings, but lately, when I click on the arrow next to the A with the colored bar beneath it (where font color is supposed to be changed), I don't get the palette of colors to choose from. I just get a tiny little rectangle with nothing in it. It looks like there is a technical difficulty with the color-changing function. Can someone please look into it? Thanks!!

(I like changing my font color to purple, so I miss having this capability! )

Merged new thread. You are not alone and it looks as if this is still unresolved. I'll bring it to the attention of the techies. Meanwhile you may want to read back through this thread.

I still have the problem too Fran.

I thought as much, not having seen a resolution posted.

My problem was resolved. I had a virus or something and ended up reformatting & clean-installing Windows and all my apps, and IE6 works just fine now.

Question for those of you with editor issues -

Does this happen in both the default skin and the other skins too? I have been looking into this, and if what the VB experts saying is right, you shouldn't be having these problems in any skin other than our TCS default skin. I'd like to verify that this is indeed the case, before moving on to applying the changes. Thanks!

I have always used TCS default skin.

The VB experts are right.
I just tired all of the other skins.
The editor works fine with them.
It is only TCS default skin that has the problem.

For now I will use a skin other than TCS default.
If the editor is fixed in that skin, please let us know.

Thanks for checking into this Anne.

Ok, the deed is done and the default skin should be working fine now as well. Thanks for helping me track this one down! Honestly, I sometimes feel like Vbulletin has become way too complex :0

The bane of modern life -- everything keeps getting more complicated.
