I heard fish oil helps, but my cat won't eat her food if it has fish oil in it. Any other advice?! I have a gorgeous black cat ... with white flakes! :-( !!!

Pixel has this same issue. i found that it was better when she was eating Natural Balance food... but that gives Cable the runs. the RC they're on now is better for this than the Chicken Soup was, but not a lot better.
Pixel won't eat fish oil, either - i tried!
anyway, switching to either all wet, raw or a high quality dry seems to help some, even if it doesn't completely eliminate the problem.

The food you are feeding her may not be helping with the dandruff. What do you feed? They make foods for healthy skin and coat.

Thanks for advice! My kitty is on Hills Science MD from the vet because she needs to lose weight. She'll only eat dry food. If it doesn't crunch, she wont' eat it. Argh!

you might try writing [email ok] to the various grain-free dry companies & requesting samples... [i suggest doing samples, because none of mine liked those] - like Orijen, Taste of the Wild, Wellness CORE, Serengeti, Indigo Moon.

BEING she is on a RX please consult her vet prior to changing foods or adding a supplement

the likely issues is a lack of essential fatty acids.. NO her food is not without just not giving her the needed levels .. also it could be a sign that blood work is needed depending on age

Thanks for the advice. She's recently had a check up and blood work and there's no problems. The vet said to add fish oil and if she won't eat it, then there's not much else I can do. I just wanted to pick some brains on here, so thank you!!
