I stopped past the shelter on the way home...

and there has been a lot of adoption activity. Particularly, Pippa got adopted. She was always skittish when your hand got near her, squinting and cowering, but once you put her in your lap, she turned into the rotisserie cat, even doing somersaults in your lap to be sure you petted all of her.

Two kittens got adopted, and several others. But Ella is still there, and her nose still looks bad.

Adoptions are going pretty swiftly here too. I was happy to see the friendly ones go first and a few others have been given a second chance. I just pray for no returns.

It has been fairly quiet for us recently, maybe 6 adoptions a week
