We can see two or three fireworks displays from our deck. Yesterday, I let Butzie out for her morning "stroll" (hunt lizards is more like it). When she came in, I wouldn't let her out for the rest of the day. I was afraid that she would get scared of the fireworks and hide outside.

Such an unhappy kitty yesterday! We ate dinner on the deck and had the door that she goes out of closed, or opened with the screen cat door locked. Butzie tried to open that door! She meowed constantly. We had to go up and around the house to bring things in and out and vary the doors so that she would not exactly expect which door.

Afraid of the noise? Butzie didn't bat a paw or twitch a whisker. All she wanted was to come out and either be with us or head off hunting.

I cleaned up most of the stuff and then went into the bedroom to talk to her. I got on the bed, she jumped up and wrapped her body around my leg. I told my daughter to say good-bye to her friend and stayed in bed with Butzie. Had to, I couldn't move or risk the wrath of the claws.

This morning, Butzie woke me up bright and early.
Before I could say, "Do you want to go out, she was halfway down the stairs heading for the door.

I can't wait until Halloween.

it sounds like you have a very brave kitty cat. Although I think it was for the best that you didn't let her out. and I suggest the same for Halloween =)
