Final Boarding Call for the Infamous Dallas Meetup!

In spite of "vicious" cats

...overeager animal control agencies

...lengthy hospitalizations

...and complicated personal schedules

...we Dallas-area TCSers are determined to get together!

The location will be Persi and Alley and Lee and Sheri's house in Farmer's Branch, which is near the intersection of I-35 and 635 (LBJ Freeway) in the Northwest Dallas area. (Full directions will be sent by PM to each person who plans to come.)

The date will be one of the following:

for a sucess meeting...

Some of you may have seen the photo below. It is of Persi, the Persian cat, seated on a Persian carpet, licking his chops from sampling my ankle, just kidding, from sampling some of the Persian delights you can expect my Persian wife to be hosting on the selected date. When you ring the bell, he will come down the stairs to greet you. If you choose, you can ride in the Alley Terrorvator rather than walk up the wooden stairs covered in puffs of Persi's fur. And when you are sampling the various cuisine, Persi will demand something from your plate; feel free to give him what he wants and you may see him strike up a pose like this:

I'd love to see him pose like that.

I'd be happy to come! Any of the dates mentioned works for me.

So far as I know, I am free all those dates. However, if you schedule on a Saturday, it may be later in the afternoon before I can make it. I don't know what our schedules will be. When I leave on Friday, I'm often not home before 2 p.m., as was the case today (I went to Lake Charles and Metairie yesterday).

Dottie will be working all those weekends, so she will need to trade a day to someone else to get off whatever day you choose.

I am looking forward to meeting the persistent Persi.

But seriously: will it be safe for YOU? What if a houseful of other cat people (all smelling, no doubt, like their respective cats) makes Persi nervous? How can we make sure this doesn't happen again?

Persi does not get nervous when the house is full of people as often happens. When he is on his own terrain, everything is cool with him, I guarantee. Of course, we could lock him up in jail here, we do have a cell available.

Where is the list of people from two months ago? Let's pm a reminder to those. August is quickly approaching so let's get a date settled on and then we can start promoting that date and I bet we get some more who will add their names to the list. As a writer, I know that writing a book can take forever to get going but once you have a working title, things start falling into place. As soon as we have the date, things will fall into place, let's please try to have that date by the end of this weekend. Has anybody else noticed how many others are now doing the same thing around the country since Carol came up with the original idea? So, let's make ours the biggest and best, as the original of anything usually is, one that everybody will also want to copy.
