Do cats like cold food or drink

I was thinking of giving my cat a vanilla milk shake.

Just a cup of milk and a cup of vanilla ice cream mixed together.

I would advise against that, not becuase it's cold, but because most cats are lactose intolerant and givng them milk will cause them terrible stomach cramps and diarrhea!

Now to address your hot vs cold question. Cats can eat either warm (not hot because it will burn their mouths) or cold. My oldest cat likes cold wet food better then fresh from the can.

My cats love their raw food chilled. I put it out very cold so that they can have more time to eat it.

This is good to know, as I don't use a whole can per feeding so have to store it in the fridge. Glad to know they probably don't mind it!
