You know you're addicted to TCS when...

I got the idea for this thread in Friday's DT. This is SO me!

the first thing you do when you wake up is turn on your computer, go pee, then sit down for a half an hour chatting. THEN realize you haven't even had your first coffee yet, but keep checking TCS for another half hour.

When you wonder where everyone went then realise it's 2 am.

My son has caught me checking the forums here early in the morning!!!!!! The only thing he ever says about this is "mom, you're addicted."

When your computer crashes bigtime and the symptoms of TCS withdrawl begin immediately.

When you can't wait to rush home from work to check and see how everyone here is doing and get frustrated when you can't!

when you spend all evening on line going from the TCS and your e-mail,to see if you got any new e-mail!!

when you suddenly realize 3 hours have gone by, and you never started supper, washed clothes, or vacuumed the livingroom because you were here at TCS.

been there! done that!

I do all those things. I get up at 4am and log on before i go to work, and then at 3pm when i get home.

you sign on and hit view never post more then five times a day, just to make sure you didn't miss anything

All of these reasons are SO true! I know I am VERY addicted to The Cat Site when it's the first place I go to in the morning!

...When you dream about posting on TCS!

When all of your family and friends know exactly what you're talking about when you tell them a joke and say you got it "from the Cat Site!"

I actually changed my fiance's background on HIS computer so that it's one of those infrared kitties from the IT Kitten Review that Heidi posted! LOL

When you refer to people from TCS in conversations to your DH, who has no clue who Val (Princess Purr), Mary Ann (Hissy), Adrienne (Adymarie), etc are. I have to explain, "Oh, she's from the Cat Site..."

Examples:

"Val's cat hasn't had her kittens yet." "Who's Val?" "She's on the Cat Site."

"Mary Ann says such-and-such about ferals."
"Who's she?" "She's on the Cat Site".

See how much y'all are a part of my life LOL

You know you're addicted to TCS when...

your Boss calls you in to discuss the fact that you've logged 8000(!) visits to TCS in one month, then takes your Internet access away.

I know I am addicted (I know, I'm new, but its true!) when my boss gives me something to do a.s.a.p for him, and I say okay - but simply MUST have a peek at the CatSite...

An hour later he askes me if I have done what he asked, and I start to babble something abour how I'm almost done (but I havent' even started).

This addiction is the bst one I have had yet (besides my chocolate one )

Oh, and I also know it when I tell my s/o what happened in Iraq, and he asks "did you hear this in the news or CNN?", and I say "on The Cat Site" !!!!!!

When you keep a prayer list because you don't want to forget anyone.

Its True...I had "the dream", you know, the one where you are dreaming that you are posting!
