Why do cats lay on their toys like hens lay on their eggs?

Exactly! Actually my dogs do that more than the cats. When JD gets up there is a little pile where he was lying.

Ollie does this... he'll usually sit/lay on them so they're under his belly then fall over sideways and bunnykick away... makes me think he's trying to "suffocate" and "kill" his "catch" hahaha

He has lots of those like petco ping-pong type balls with the beads inside and we've come to call them "kitty eggs" cuz he'll sit on them and kick them and a lot of times they end up popping out around his bum, making it look like he's laid an egg!

Riley does the same thing. He sits on them before he kills them!
