20+ years old

I have been sorting through old pictures. Unbrushed and unbathed in this picture because of her age. Never declawed so her poor feet were always getting stuck in the shag carpeting and she would become anchored and unable to more, she liked being on the wood furniture. Got her from a rescue center in 1976, this picture was taken in 1996 (yes they had digital cameras then). I assume she was around a year old when I got her but she lived with me for twenty years. She crossed the bridge about a month after this picture. Her name was Krazy.

My cat Samantha just turned 20 years old today and I just posted a few photos of her.
Did Krazy not like having her nails trimmed?
My cat gets her claws stuck once in a while, she hates the berber carpet downstairs, she is much happier in rooms with hard floors or small area rugs.

Happy birthday to Samantha and may she have many, many more! To answer your question, in her last couple of years, I pretty much just wanted her to be comfortable and went so far as to put plastic/rubber runners on the carpet so she could go from the bedroom to the kitchen. And now, I must go look at your photos of Samantha.

She sure was a nice looking Cat. My Cat is 16 now and I sure hope she gets that old.

Krazy was a lovely girl. My RB girl Shasta was 21 when she crossed the Bridge -- those long relationships are extra special, aren't they?
