Ok, not talking baseball (this time) although Oliver is a Red Sox fan by default cuz his mama is a Sox fan
(I even have the Orange Tabby Build-a-Bear in a Sox uniform... his name is Ollie Sox)

Oliver was just out on the deck in his harness and tie out since it's nice out... well I kept hearing these birds being REALLY loud... we have a couple feeders and a wren nest currently in the box on the side of our garage and several nests in nearby trees, so at first I was just like "meh..." but it didn't stop and was very consistant. So I go look and there's a male cardinal sitting on our deck rail "yelling" at Oliver! Seriously, I was waiting for the dive bomb lol The bird kept sitting there yelling at him and Oliver chattered back a few times but could otherwise care less (even gave a big yawn)... the cardinal kept yelling until Oliver decided he wanted to come inside and not be bothered lol

I guess he and his mate (whom I also saw around the yard) have a nest nearby and they felt threatened by Oliver being a complete lazy bum on the deck hahaha

I don't know about Cardinals, but my sister's cat, Baby, doesn't like Blue Jays- cause one actually did dive bomb him!
I'd never seen that cat run for cover so fast

My boyfriend's RB cat, Cato, was an indoor/outdoor cat. He would patrol the backyards.. and you always knew where he was by the bird chatterings.... the birds would follow him and keep tabs... and it would get quieter as he moved off and louder as her approached home.

My bf found him hiding under some bushes more than a few times b/c the birds took exception to his presence!!

The Blue Jays are really cocky. My mom puts peanuts out on her deck for the squirrels, and I've seen Jays run off the squirrels.

When we still had Fred and his brother, mockingbirds would dive at them constantly, so they developed a a little strategy.
One would lay on his back near the car tire, and the other would hide under the car. A bird would swoop down after the exposed belly, and the other would reach out and grab it. I think the birds moved on.
