Hairballs?

You probably have tons of threads/posts on this topic,but I don't have time to look for them right now.

Hatchet has been coughing up hairballs the past few days.
Is there anything I can give him for them????

I'm dealing with the same problem and was wondering about the Petromalt--is it ok to give it with food or is that a bad idea? I heard that it can interfere with food/nutrient absorption.

Yes it can interfere with nutrient absorption whether you give it at meals or at other times (it greases the intestinal tract) which is why you should only use it for a few days at a time, not as an every day thing. For a few days at a time its fine.
