So, we have a tortie who makes the weirdest sound - when she wants attention, she'll basically create this very loud, guttural, throaty chest growl. The first time I heard it, it nearly had me out of my chair. She basically acts as though she has startled herself, does the growl, and races from one room to another.
She's doing this playfully - or as a representation of just being nuts.
She's done this for the past year or two.
Two notes on this tortie:
- She's the fastest cat that I've ever seen
- She's one of the most vocal cats I've ever heard - she talks constantly and can be very loud, with many different vocalizations
It's hard to describe without a recording - sound familiar? In 36 years, I've never heard another cat make that same sound.
We're still trying to figure out what it means, other than "crazy."
