Vacuum is a great idea. Another is to hair spray the crap out of them if you're afraid to touch. My ex-wife would do that. And leave them sticky until I got home to squish them

I prefer to suck them up with the vacuum, hair spray doesn't really work when I use it..can't get near enough to them to spray it
They do a runner!

Also, no point me lending you any of my kitties to do bug hunting duties..they just sit and stare at them!

I could send you Wiggies the Great Spider Muncher over, but it's a little far! He loooves hunting the creepy crawlies for me, and usually eats them up so I don't have to deal with them at all.

There's no such thing as "unreasonable" fear of spiders! BLECCCHH!!! Pixie, pick up the phone and enlist the help of a large male person!

Currently driving around South America!
When I was living in Ecuador I once had a tarantula the size of my hand show up in my kitchen while I was on my way to bed. I trapped him in a pot and set him free again!

I would suggest the vaccum method, or trap it in a jar and release him!

Well I don't think that thing would fit in a vaccume. What the heck is a spider that size doing in England that thing should be living in the Amazon rain forest.

Ack! You need to kill that thing quickly. It looks like a wolf spider. We had them in the ducts of our pool and they leave a nasty toxic bite, almost as bad as a brown recluse.
