WOODFORD — A motorcyclist crashed on Route 9 Friday after plastic drain pipes flew from a passing truck, striking the man and bike.
Vermont State Police Trooper Scott Dunlap said the crash occurred at the base of Woodford Mountain, a few miles east of Bennington. Kevin D, 45, of Michigan, was heading toward Bennington on a 2002 Harley-Davidson when he was struck by two 12-inch by 10-foot pieces of plastic drain pipe. The pipes came from a truck driven by DC, 22, of North Adams, Mass., which was heading east.
My ex-BIL has non-lifethreatening injuries, amazingly! He is supposed to be back in Michigan this evening, and staying with his brother to recover. My heart was in my throat this morning when my ex-husband e-mailed me this newsaper link. Kevin is a sweet guy (my favorite of all my ex-husband's brothers.) I know your prayers will be appreciated.
