Pat,
My sincerest condolences and my prayers are with you. Tippy was so lucky to have found you and was so blessed to have been able to live the rest of his life with someone as caring and loving as you.

RIP Tippy

He really was, we were very lucky to share the years we had with him.

Oh my, I am so so so sorry, Pat. I know that a first rescue is always such a sentimental and significant one, even though they all are, the first is always different. He had the best of everything with you... and now he's called to be his angelic self with the others on the RB, watching over you.
Peace & Light be with you.

He was a very proud one, wasn't he!

Thank you Eddie...yes, he was a very dignified fellow...severe looking around the face, until he snuffled your ear or wrapped his arms around your neck..kinda ruined the tough guy act

Just try to remember that....how special he was & how blessed you & your family were to share those years with him. The picture is a beautiful one of him, you can really see just how happy & relaxed he was.

Oh I'm so sorry! I'm actually on a two week business trip right now and I only have been on to respond to your loss.

Oh Pat... I'm so sorry about Tippy.
And it is so hard to lose one of these little ones. I know Tippy is ever grateful for the wonderful, loving home you gave him. He's a special little angel and I hope Jake was there to meet him. Actually, I've been thinking about Jakey A LOT the last week so maybe that's why. Maybe he was trying to tell me he just met a new friend.

Oh that made me cry...sweet Jake
I hope somehow, they did meet...that a rainbow bridge includes not just cats I've loved and who passed before Tippy came into my life, but those I've cared about even if I only "met" them online.

Those are the kind of thoughts that keep me going and give me hope, Pat. I believe we have to be able to hang on to something, or the grief can be unbearable.

have always been sensitive and wonderful when we have lost one of our cats. But this time, they outdid themselves.

They sent us a live azalea plant in a container - fully in bloom, so many pink blossums, it is lovely. I will do my best to replant it and keep it as a container plant outdoors that we take with us when we move to a new home (which we would like to do someday).

A lovely tribute to Tippy who used to come garden with me before we were able to bring him in to live with us.
