Ever since I fell in love with that little manx kitten I saw in the local adds I have considered adding a 3rd. I also fell in love with a dog, but with 3 little kids and italian greyhounds being known for being fragile I decided the time is not right for us. We do live in an apartment but it is HUGE.
I had been worried about money but I have since gotten a full time job. (A good stable job). I am home all day with the kids and my husband works concrete, then he gets home and I go to work. So we would be able to provide.
I know that I have always wanted an orange cat.
So my question is, what age and gender do you think would work out best?

Raven will be 1 on August 8th (so she is 10 months) and she is a spayed female. Jack will be 1 on October 10th (so he is 8 months) and he is a neutered male.
So kitten, or older kitten, or adult and male or female? What would be best?

Thanks.
And this is just the thinking process, not an actual decision.

since you want an orange one, you'll find more that are males than females.
who's dominant in your house?

My Jack is 11 months and we added a slightly older cat, Harley, 16 months--it worked great. Although we hoped that Harley would teach Jack some manners--unfortunately Jack has taught Harley to put all manners aside!

I would go for a younger Cat.
Orange Cats are Males most of the time.
I did have a orange female that we found that had been dumped.
I do not think the sex matters.
My last 2 I got were 3 Months when I othem and its worked out very well.
Oreo is almost 10 months and Sasha is almost 2.
They have become good friends.

I would go for someone around a 1 year old. Same age range. Sex doesn't matter.

I did not know that most orange cats were males. Hmm. I did know that most calicos are females.

Why is that anyway, anyone know?

Speaking from experience I would go with a male cat either the same age or younger.

However, it also depends on the individual cats personalities.
