My 3 yr. old kitty, Pandora, has been very well behaved since she was a kitten. All of a sudden she's using my pillow to pee on. Any idea why or what I can do to stop this?

Thanks!

I would take her to the vet! They are trying to tell you something when they do things like this...

I agree. Whenever there is a sudden change in behavior for no apparent reason, the first thing you should do is rule out anything medically wrong with them, like a urinary tract infection. But also look for anything that has changed in your household that might be stressing her out. Stress can also cause what she is doing, or it could have triggered a medical problem.

Keep us posted?

I'll see about getting a urine sample for my vet to test to be on the safe side. Other than that something has changed recently - we rehomed a dog of ours. I don't know how that would effect her, but I guess you never know. Thanks.

It could. Was she close to the dog or at the very least used to the dog being part of the "home". The stress from changing up her schedule could cause her to try to mark things (as could the stress make her sick). Whatever is the cause, one reason cats choose bedding is because it smells like their humans - for cats that's a comforting smell.
