Please have your Cat, Cinderella Spayed. It is unhealthy for a Cat not to be fixed and be going into heat all the time. Females who don't get fixed and go into Heat frequently are more prone to Urinary infections & even more likely to get Uterine Cancer. If she could, Cinderella would take herself in & get Fixed! It also causes them to suffer, if they can't mate (Which is what we don't want!) She needs to be indoors and fixed.  She will live longer and be happier & more calm once she is SPAYED. Every pregnancy takes a year off a Female Cats life. So If you really love your Cat, you will take her in & have her Spayed & Vaccinated.

Just wanted to add to your post even though it is older, they also use them for snake food. It may not be as popular as the bait for pit fights but, some people do this to avoid buying food for the snakes. Another thing to keep in mind is that people are also abusive to cats and I recently had a neighbor who kept just opening her door and letting her pit bull run (Note, that I have a pit/German Shepherd mix meaning I not "anti-pit bull") and her dog injured two strays outside and killed one stray. You also have to consider coyote's, foxes, hawks, owls and even other types of animals that will attack cats that are outside. Even if the birds of prey cannot pick them up, their talons can damage them and raccoons can also be predators for your cats.

I know this is not what this older thread is about but, thought I would share what happened here because it does actually happen.

I also know this is about what are the signs a cat shows before giving birth but, would like to share some information if you are keeping any of the kittens. There are many places out there that offer free or reduced fee spay/neuters if you cannot afford them. I know that here in Ohio, UCAN in Cincinnati just ran a special for $20 you receive a spay or neuter, FCRVP and Rabies. You cannot beat that for stray spay/neuters. You just schedule, drop them off one day and pick them up the next. Most states offer this in one form or another. Call and check around.

Best always to the expectant mothers and little kitties!
