That's really not the headline, but could have been.

Something interesting happened this afternoon. I put a saucepan of water on the stove to boil. About 45 minutes later Twinkie came into the computer room and was rather insistent about getting my attention. Thinking he was just looking for attention or getting hungry for his supper, I didn't pay too much attention, but I was diverted from my computer work and so got up to use the bathroom. In the bathroom I noticed this odd smell, kind of like an electrical short-circuit. I started looking for the source of the smell. Aaaaaaakkkkkkkk!!! My pot on the stove!!!

I can't begin to sing the praises of Corning Visionware. This is the third time I've done this, but never have I left a pot on the stove on a high burner and the water all boiled off for so long. This pot was so hot that the neighboring burners were too hot to touch. I set it down on a metal potholder and the finish started to smoke and char. The pot was much too hot to set down anywhere it the kitchen, so it's down in the basement, now, cooling off. And still in one piece and useable after a clean-up. Thank you Corning!! I don't know if Visionware is even sold any more. It's almost indestructible. Not too good for Corning profits, if you know what I mean.

But, the point of the post.....you suppose.....you think.....was Twinkie trying to tell me something when he came into the computer room?

Yeah - "dad something STINKS!" He was probably annoyed that his nap was disturbed by a yucky smell
