I still want to go and add some turquoise to my hair. One day, one day.

Oh, awesome! It looks good!

I've done that a couple times with my hair and really liked it.

VERY pretty!! Love it!
Your cats are either a.) jealous or b.) bragging about their totally hip mom on their own secret message board.

I self "highlight" purple in my dark brown hair with temporary. At first I was a total chicken about it, too, and made SURE it was a time in my life when I wouldn't have to leave the house too much for about two weeks.. just in case!

my niece is going to do turquoise tips on hers.
i love it, but can only do it in the summer. my school's dress code prohibits 'unnatural' hair colors

For those who don't want to to actually bleach and dye your hair you can get silky hair put in for bright colored highlights. Either by gluing or by using small metal crimp rings made specifically for that - I have some of those rings around here somewhere... If you can find someone to use the crimp rings (or find/buy them yourself) the silky goes in in moments and can be removed about as quickly.

Awesome!
I'm still trying to decide if I'm going to dye my hair before going on vacation. I think I will. Since my mom always did mine, I'm hoping I don't mess it up too bad.

thanks to everyone!
you should get the blue - do what my niece is going to do - just the tips. then it's easy to cut off if you don't like it.
mine grows fast enough that when it's time for my fall 'back to school' cut i'll cut everything that's left off. sure wish i could have them year-round, tho! i'll change colors when this pink is all gone - probably in a couple of years,

I've thought about purple highlights, but never got around to it! I think I'm really just a chicken.

Get you with your new do!!

Actually Laureen, would you mind if i borrowed the picture of you looking at the side?. That's how i want my hair again. I'm trying to explain it to my hairdresser, but if i have a picture it's even better

Is it all layered at the back?

yes, it's layered... sorta. you can borrow it, sure! this is the original cut, but it's been about 2 months since it was cut: hairstyle
