OMG! Another one?!

There seems to be no end.

I'm starting to think this might be mob related or something. I was watching "Eastern Promises" and when the Russian Mob knocked off someone they tossed them in the water.

They've apparently been running DNA on missing people, but other than that one depressed guy they haven't found any matches. So perhaps the feet belong to people who were homeless and haven't been reported missing.

Well, I think I know what's going on now...there's a giant spider out there hobbling along on one foot!!!

Ok, I'm sorry, but it's really hard to NOT shake my head and laugh at the weirdness of this situation.

They don't know what is going on. They've only recovered feet, no other body parts. And it is scary, and down right weird!

Apparently not.

..."It's too early to tell if this foot was forcibly severed, said Linteau, but she pointed out that none of the remains recovered in the past had any evidence of foul play.

"They appear to be disarticulated, on their own, either by the decomposition process [or] what have you," she said.

That still doesn't rule out a serial killer...it just rules out someone is cutting the feet off. There could be dumped bodies that are losing feet due to decomp.

It's still freaky.

That's just the weirdest thing. I wonder if some weirdo is grave robbing/stealing from a morgue or funeral home, sticking the feet in running shoes and throwing them in the water?

It's the 11th foot to wash ashore here and Washington State since 2007 (8th one one Vancouver Island - still don't want to go beach combing). Even creepier is the fact that there must be many more that are eaten in the ocean, or sink to the bottom. It makes sense the sneaker-clad ones would float. Yuck.

It sounds like something from a Stephen King novel. Some creepy serial killer murdering people and ditching the foot. There's tons of homeless people and unknown prostitutes that go missing every day, plenty we never hear about. Some freak could be sending clues. Since they don't seem to show evidence of fowl play, maybe they are letting the bodies break down naturally somehow and removing the foot? Stranger things have been done by serial killers. Who knows..

That article, released earlier this year states some victims have been identified. I wonder of its maybe cases of suicide/accidental drownings. Sneakers apparently preserve the foot and do float.
