This is something that's been done with dogs for a long time to help match up doggy personalities to the right home. But now some are doing it for kitties too!

It happens to all of us. You fall in love with someoneâ€[emoji]8482[/emoji]s looks ... but then heâ€[emoji]8482[/emoji]s not quite what you expected. Even, sometimes, if heâ€[emoji]8482[/emoji]s a cat.

“People come in and say, I had a black and white tuxedo cat before, so thatâ€[emoji]8482[/emoji]s what I want,†says Jim Monsma of the Washington Animal Rescue League in Washington, D.C. “But cats are not all the same. They have widely divergent personalities.â€

Thatâ€[emoji]8482[/emoji]s why the shelter is now using the Feline-ality program, developed by behaviorist Dr. Emily Weiss of the American Society for Prevention of Cruelty to Animals.

I think it's a good idea. It's been done informally by rescues for a long time - cat not good with dogs, needs quiet home, etc.
