I decided to put this thread here, since, until November, Larry was a feral, born and living in a colony on the streets of Brooklyn. I've had him since Jan. 6.
Today, he let me pick him up almost all the way. I've been working up to this, getting him used to both of my hands going under his tummy, and lifting him a couple of inches off the floor and giving him a couple of head kisses.
This morning, I couldn't believe it. I picked him up, and lifted him up almost so I was standing upright and holding him. He never stopped purring, and he gave me a look that said, "Okay. I know this is going to be all right, but don't do it for too long."
I gave him some little kisses on his head, then put him down.
He then just plopped on the floor and wanted some tummy rubs.
This formerly feral feline is a marshmallow!!!
