I am a nervous wreck. 5 more days to go.

I have never done this before and I am seriously nervous. She is an accomplished pro. I have 2 of her kittens from the litter she had 8 weeks ago under my deck. The X rays showed 4 or 5. We go to the vet today for a prenatal check up.
I went on a nerve induced shopping spree and bought a ton of cat supplies for the birth. It is most likely overkill but it makes me feel better.
I am one step away from providing soothing new age music for her and dimming the lights. I am trying to look cool and relaxed for my daughter's sake but I am scared.
I watch her like a hawk and keep checking on her. Her appetite has increased and she is laying on her blanket stretched out. I will post pictures of her later.
I am even afraid of picking her up too much. Intellectually I know this is ridiculous but I can't help it.

I know how you feel CC, I am extremely cautious about everything Lily does. I pick her up like she's just had a c-section (many of my previous cats were girls). She's pretty good about not doing things she used to, like jumping to higher places. I am like you with the shopping for cat stuff. I have 2 new soft pet beds for her and the babies, a bunch of fleece blankets, kitten replacement milk, and the list goes on. I am a bit of a freak when it comes to preparing for events...I am just so excited and don't want to be caught unprepared.

I keep reading everyone's progress so far and learning. I put a Feliway plugin in her room and it has helped. She was not eating and had horrible diarrhea. She was dewormed so hopefully it helps clear her up.
