I always look through all the adds on our local free classified page (sort of like craglist).
My dream dog has been an italian greyhound.
Today there was one on the free classifieds.
I couldn't help myself but to ask about him. 6 months old, neutered, current on shots. Housebroken, actually litterbox trained. And lives with 6 cats!
I want him I want him I want him.

he is not free.

I know
.
We live in an apartment, but we have a huge open feild right across the street.
I am home all day, I work evenings. And my husband is home when I am at work and on weekends.
If he would agree with me I know we could handle it. And of course I love that the dog is litterbox trained already.

I had a min-pin once that was litterbox trained. It happened by accident and she basicaly trained herself but it was quite handy.

I wish we had the time and space for a dog.

If you did I'd gladly send you Izzy!

Talk to DH & quickly.....IGs who are cat friendly aren't that common, unless you get an itty bitty puppy (and even then no guarantee).

I'd love to but if I can't convince him of another cat (even one that shares his birthday) there's no way I'm selling him a puppy.

So I told the lady who had him that we were very interested and that he sounded like a perfect fit for our family but that we have a trip coming up (over the 4th) and that my husband did not want to spend the money right now.
She responded that we did sound like the perfect family for him and that she would be willing to lower her price for us (by HALF, and that is still including all his stuff).
I can't wait till hubby gets home again tonight to ask him again.

My birthday is July 5th, sure would be a nice present!

the rule (as well as the city ordinace) is 3 cats or 3 dogs or any combination thereof and the rule in our building is 25 pounds or under for dogs.
ig's are usually 9-10 pounds.

Is he a rescued past racer from a dog track? Many of the are raised with barn cats, and get along great in a home situation with cats. I was talking to a lady from a rescue organization in Kansas City and she was telling me what wonderful dogs they were. Her dog was with her and he kept wanting the kittens they had for adoption. He has his own cat at home.

My place has a very similar rule except is 3 of any providing their combined weight doesn't exceed 75 lbs. He does have an awful sweet face... and it would be a GREAT b-day present! Good luck!

Well, for me anyway, the fact that he is already neutered and has all his shots is awesome. She was asking 200 for him but went down to 100 for me because he sounds like he would be such a good fit here. We will just have to see.
