I'm optimistic, butt still cautiously so. Loki and Possum are beginning to explore and not be so freaked out by their cousins. I'm so proud of them!

Mouser and Minion (the cats) aren't incredibly happy about their new housemates, but no one's attacking each other, just hissing and growling, and keeping their distance.

Jinx (the dog) is doing well, too. She just wants to be friends, but she's a 50lb. dog, and doesn't realize that the cats are afraid of the slobbering giant. the boys seems to be getting used to her a bit, now. It's only been 2 days, but I'm happy with the progress so far!

Oh, and I forgot to say that Loki and Possum AND Mouser and Minion still love me! Yay!

I'm so happy for you
After aweek or so I bet everyone will love each other. My Kitty is slowly getting used to my new kitten. I thought they were going to kill each other at first! When will you let all the kitties be alone together?

I'm working on it, but Loki and Possum seem content to mostly stay in my sister's office. They'll go exploring a bit, but Mouser and Minion will upset them and Jinxie's size and exuberance will scare them and they'll run back into the office. I have the door open when I'm home except when they eat. That's because they all seem to want my boys' food.

Even though you haven't asked
, I'd really love to share with you some ideas with how I introduced our two adult cats (and recently two new kittens) to my Saint Bernard, Kita! First I had to wonder if this 150 lb bucket of drool looked more like a dog or an elephant to them??
So the introduction had to be a little different as the adult cats were outright HORRIFIED!
The kittens were more nervous than anything. Anyway, with all four of them, I'd have Kita come, sit and stay in an area the cats were able to see her and I from where they were hiding. I'd have her obey all sorts of commands and tricks. Eventually when they were more comfortable with her presence, I'd bring the individual cats somewhere on my level (couch, chair, counter) and do the same thing. The cats were able to see that I had control of the dog and that she/I were both trustworthy. In turn, Kita learned to associate calmness with the cats, as well as good behavior. All 5 had special treats (but only when they were around each other). Within a week you'd think they had all came from the same litter somehow?!
Of course everyones different so times vary. This just happened to be the most successful way and somewhat quick way to intro. in my experience.

Good luck with the continuing progress!!!
