I haven't started a DT in ages and ages

I'm so glad I finally get around to read and post for a bit. The past couple of days have been really difficult with changing to the new server. I think that thanks to Mary Anne and her bribing tech support off with pocket knives we have ironed out most of the glitches...

The pregnancy is not making it any easier either. I was flat out tired yesterday. I don't think I've been that tired in my life! I certainly have more side effects with this pregnancy - more nausea, more fatigue, back pain - and it's only week 7!
I told hubby these may be twins - sure feels like double the side effects

Speaking of which - with the forums down, I couldn't post the picture of my triplet ultra sound:

That was meant as an April fools joke for you all
I was going to post it and tell you all I found out I was having triplets...

Triplets - EEEK! And I was worried, about twins! Anne, that would have been a great April Fool's joke.

Its overcast, today but not cold. I've been in shorts and a T-shirt, this morning.

Job fair, this afternoon Hopefully, I'll find something. If nothing else, I can go back to punching a cash register. The Indian casinos have just started blackjack games. If not for my arthritis, I'd apply for dealer training. They're hiring cage cashiers and count people, too. The pay and benefits are good and I already have casino experience.

Love your triplets joke, Anne! That would be one interesting pregnancy!

Looks like I'm stuck at home today
. . . I don't dare set foot outside, I'm so allergic to the pollen. Even with Benedryl, Allegra, Extra-Strength Claritin, and Tylenol, I am still going crazy.
I need something that compares to Benedryl the way that Morphine compares to Advil -- a heck of a lot stronger! My main problem is my eyes, they get itchy and hurt and get so swollen you could blind-fold me with dental floss! I actually woke up this morning to discover little scabs at the corners of my eyes where they bled last night.
Ick, I am moving to the desert when I finish college, either that or somewhere very, very cold. Sorry to vent, it's just so frustrating!

Other than that, weather here is gorgeous (wish I could enjoy it, though). It's about 70 degrees and sunny. I'm getting really excited about my new apartment (and being able to have a cat, finally). I can't wait for May!

Viva, I feel so bad for you! But I enjoyed the toothpicks as blindfolds remark. I hope this doesn't last all spring. It's so nice to get out in the sunshine!

Anne, too bad about the glitch yesterday. You would have had our eyes popping out. I was really forunate-no morning sickness, only the sleepiness and the backaches. That shouldn't last too much longer. We'll cross our fingers for you. I always felt great when I was pregnant, and I wish the same for you.

Cindy, shorts? If Spring wasn't here (in spirit, at least!) in Western PA, I swear I'd show up on your doorstep. The daffodils are blooming, even though we had snow on the ground a few days ago.

Have a wonderful day, everyone!

Try sleeping with one of those sleep masks. Add a wet wahscloth to the insides while you sleep. It should take down the swelling and wash away the pollen. Hope this helps! Make up remover wipes will also be good for during the day to wipe away the pollen that will cling around your eyes.
Good luck sweetie!

Anne, I about had a heart attack seeing your triplet joke!

Second pregnancies are always different from the first, mine was too. But in time it will all pass and before you know it you'll have a new little being in your arms!

Hope everyone is having a fabulous Tuesday.:rainbow:

Anne - that is a fabulous trick - I bet I would've fallen for it, I can be quite gullible sometimes.

Yes - the sickness and tiredness is horrible. Working from home, I was able to nap occasionally when I just got too tired. But by about week 10 it was all beginning to pass. I hope you feel better soon, rest up lots - I know it's tricky with a small child, but you must put yourself first for a while now.

My junior is kicking me in the stomach as I type - the gentle flutterings are turning into distinct prods now - marvellous!!!!

Looks like our new office will be going ahead - got the paperwork to start the ball rolling today - just need enough work to pay for it. Also had discussions with what will be our first member of staff - that's a good thing coz it's getting quite busy here . . .

Hope everyone has a good day, whatever the weather!

Viva, try cotton pads, soaked in saline solution. I've had to use my allergy eye drops, myself, lately.

Living in the desert doesn't help - we have wildflowers, weeds and trees pollinating. On top of that, Back Easters brought their sneeze-trees, out here.

On another note: maybe we should start a pregnancy thread. Sounds as if a lot of us have stories.

I don't get the joke. It looks like three fetuses to me, but then I can't read an ulta sound from a hole in the wall. I don't think I could contribute to a pregnancy thread
but give me a few years and I will!

Hubby is in bed sick today. Last night he was only going to go in for a few hours but his co-worker was taken off nights, again! I swear she runs that place. Darrell was actually worried that he would be forced to work tonight because there was no one else to work for him. I told him "that's wrong! You have to be able to take sick days off! They can't force you to work" And he said "Tamme it doesn't work that way, we're not union, I don't have anybody to cover for me. I HAVE to go in, no matter what" I'm like "bu!!$h!t" So this morning, his boss took one look at him and told him to go home. Thank goodness! So, hopefully, now Darrell won't feel so unreplacable. It's rediculous(sp?) to think you have to go into work no matter what. What kind of job would have that job description??

Sorry to rant, but I hate his bosses. They're so... not decision oriented. They couldn't make a decision if it were to kill them.

anyway, I have to work at 3-10 again today. My feet hurt from the new shoes. I've got band-aids on the one spot that they rub on, but it doesn't seem to help. I have to rotate the old shoes with the new shoes. What was the point of getting new shoes again??? Oh yeah, to NOT have to wear the old ones anymore. Sheesh.

...sorry.

Hey everyone! I have spend the last 2 days with my mom helping her out with laundry and fetching and carrying. She called in a panic yesterday morning just before I came over yesterday to tell me that she had tons of "gunk" (that is the nicest way to put it) come out of her incision yesterday. I had to go over and clean it and her and the room up. I talked her into going to her doctor and he said she has a nasty infection in 2 places and he ad to re-open and drain the infection away. He left it open to drain and will be getting home care in to clean it everyday (good - that means i don't have to!). I will be working tomorrow as my sister will be in town and off again on Friday with her. We have had some good mother daughter bonding time. My grandmother, who lives with them, still thinks my mom is going to drop dead any day now, no matter how often we explain everything to her. She is very weepy, so I have been dealing with that too. It will be nice to get back to work (never thought I would say that).

I think we are ordering pizza tonight - neither of us want to cook.

I hope everyone is doing ok and all you pregnant people please take care of yourself. (Anne if it were triplets I would have taken one or two for you
)

Anne, I loved the triplet joke!!! Since this pregnancy is harder on you, maybe you'll have a little girl this time.

Yola, just wait, when you're nine months pregnant you'll REALLY be able to feel the baby kick!!!! When I was nine months pregnant with my son, I thought it was so awesome to push against my stomach while the baby was pushing outward and very distinctly feel the outline of a hand or foot that was pushing back!!!!! My husband really liked that too!!!!

Anne,
My heart started doing jumping jacks when I seen that ultrasound! You better hope that April Fools joke doesn't turn around and nip you in the butt...You just might have triplets, ya know!!
LOL!

Viva,
Have you tried Zyrtec? It's prescription only, but it is one of the best ones on the market. I was taking Allegra and Claritin, but this year neither worked for me. I just called my Dr and asked if I could try Zyrtec. They were even nice enough to give me 10 days worth of samples since they are definitely not cheap! With out my co-pay is is $85, but with my co-pay it is $30 per month! Not cheap, but they work SO good! I'd give that a try if nothing else seems to work for you!
