My cat Parrot (around 2 years old now) has been acting strangely lately. He did what I assume to be spraying (stood there while his tail kind've shook) against a wall about a week ago, and just last night, actually urinated on my boyfriend's arm. Parrot did just father a litter of kittens with Shinobi, and they're about 6 weeks old now. Parrot has done inappropriate peeing before (but usually, he tries his hardest to stay out of our sight when he does), as have the other cats, but I know they're all very picky about how clean their boxes are, so I can't figure out if this is a UTI or some sort of territorial thing or what. Any ideas?

As an intact male it could be territorial since there are new kittens in the house. When a cat pees on you he is sending a strong message about something he is not pleased about.
Are you planning on neutering him?

i have had cats pee on me twice... Java did in her sleep after her spay [she was sleeping on me at the time - same day as her op] & Pixel did once, intentionally - she had a UTI.
never had an intact male, so can't address that...

Yeah, we do plan to neuter him as soon as we can get it scheduled.

Keep in mind that a neutered male can still get an unspayed female pregnant for up to 2 months after being neutered. So keep him away from your females.

Hopefully he will stop spaying and marking. Some males don't.
