Just got back from the doctor's office, having my wrist checked. I not only broke it, I did a thorough job of it, what's called a "Colles fracture." Broke the head off the radius, essentially.

Now I have to see an orthopedist next week to find out if it will need surgery. Probably not, according to the doctor.

At least it gives me a souvenir of my European trip!

Oh no!!!! I hope it's not too painful (or you at least got good drugs..), and you don't need surgery.

How much will it inconvenience day to day activities?

I don't think it will need surgery.

It would have helped if a fellow hadn't tried to pull me up by my wrist after I fell!

Ughhh!!! That must have hurt!!!! After my heart surgery (which involved cracking my chest open), the nurses at the hospital kept trying to help me up by pulling on my arms which of course pulls directly on your chest... I ended up crossing my arms across my chest whenever someone tried to help me up so they wouldn't be tempted to split me in two

When my mom broke her wrist she had to have lots of PT. Hoping yours isn't so bad.
Hey maybe you can be one of those early boarding passengers on the flight home!!

Nah, I'm home.

And let me give you a hint: If you're flying anytime soon, good luck. US airline service has gone to pot. Fortunately, we were on SAS from Newark to Sweden and back, so that was pretty nice.
