Here's an odd (and new) behavior...

"The Els" chases her tail, round and round, on the toilet seat lid each morning while I'm in the shower. This happens before breakfast (she's an enthusiastic eater). She sometimes even catches and bites her tail, resulting in a hair-raising scream, that usually causes me to drop the soap, or cut my chin while shaving.

After a recent trip to the vet, she noticed the scabs on her tail and said I needed to do what I could to stop this behavior -- but she didn't say HOW to stop the behavior. The only thing that comes to mind is to feed her FIRST THING in the morning rather than waiting until after I've showered and made coffee.

Maybe there's some "kitty anxiety" issue that's rearing it's ugly head in anticipation of getting fed, causing her to act out by chasing her tail?

Who knows...

Anyone else have a problem with a cat chasing their tail?

Thanks!

My Skinny chases her tail once in a while but it's just her playing.

Your Els does sound super anxious to be fed. Feed her first so you can enjoy your shower in peace.
