Effective today, KatKwery (cat query) will be a separate thread, posted each afternoon (central time), after we have a correct answer to the KatKwiz (posted each morning central time.)
It will now be easy to find and to know when the KatKwery begins. The format will be the same as for KatKwiz: *****KatKwery! - date - comment*****
If you are unfamilair with this contest, I will give a brief explanation here.
Each day KatKwery will ask five questions regarding the subject of that day's KatKwiz. Questions that are designed to make it easy for you to use one of the five secret words. I make up the questions but do not know the secret words at the time I make the questions. I will almost always join in and answer my own questions just to give members an idea of how to win. I still do not know the secret words until after I have submitted my answers. I then show the questions to DW and ask her for the one single word that comes to mind first. It should be quite easy to match her in any of the five secret words.
Each secret word winner wins 700 points which is added to their KatKwery account. Careful records are maintained and on October 1, the top 8 point holders will compete in a most exciting playoff leading to the super KatKwery bowl which will pay the winner a gauranteed 102,000 points (or more*) Please take a look at today's KatKwery when it is posted. The questions are easy and require no knowledge about TCS, but DO reinforce the educational subject of the day about TCS.
I know many of you do not care to play KatKwiz, and are probably unaware that KatKwery is a BIG component of same. But I am breaking it out into a separate thread to make it more visible, and in the hopes of attracting more players. I seem to have lost a lot of players in the past few weeks because I assume I was out sick and not posting. Come play, it matters not if you have zero points now because it is a long ways to October and we have absolutely no break out way ahead winners at this time.
So, you can add 700 points to your account by using a simple word and compete in the excitement of playing for 102,000 (or more*) points.
*All of my points were given to me to give away and that is what I am doing. From time to time, I receive donations. Any donations between now and October 1 that designate KatKwery will up the already unheard of payout.
