I found this on the internet and thought it would be interesting to see just what comes out.

Not exactly a question though.

Grab the nearest book and go to page 30 line 4 and post the line here.

I'm intrigued! Such an anti-climactic end for Lord Vader.

Me too... either a phone book or a property tax assessment manual.

So, for now, here it is... from the 2002 Indiana Real Property Assessment Manual

Class Code 21: State assessed property owned by a light, heat, or power company that constitutes a part of any right-of-way of the light, heat, or power company.

I'll do this again when I'm home with "real" books.

The closest right now is the AAA tour book for Maine,New Hampshire & Vermont!

"No visit to Maine would be complete without an excursion to the crown jewel of its scenic coast: Acadia National Park. "

Ooh! Interesting.

World Without End by Ken Follett:

page 30, line 4:

off on her own to explore the world. "This is the one I'm going to keep,"

It's the book I'm reading right now. It takes place 200 years after his book Pillars of the Earth, which was about the building of a cathedral in the 12th century, in England.

One of the characters has just picked out a puppy from a litter.

My bookshelf is behind me, so there are tons of books close to me! I picked the closest to my hand though

The book: Search and Rescue Dogs: Training the K-9 Hero

Author: American Rescue Dog Association

Line: "Puppies from these dogs are a risk."

Lol, I know. In that chapter they were talking about selecting the right puppy candidate for search and rescue. They were describing the different personalities and what to look for in the parents of the puppies as well.

Book: Fool Moon
Author: Jim Butcher

Line: She shot me an irritated scowl, headlights of cars going the opposite of the highway flaring across her face.

Actually the next line of the page sums up how I feel right now: "Don't even start with me, Harry. I've had a long month.

If I was at home I'd have SUCH a better selection!!

My nearest "book" is my accounting software's user manual!
Somehow I find that hilarious.

Book: Tenant Pro 6.0 User Reference Manual
Author: Tenant Pro

Pg 30 Line 4:
Property or by Tenant and choose all or just a selected group.

How pathetic.

I've not yet participated in the "Question of the Day", but this looked like an intriguing idea! Funny to see the variety of books people have close to their computer. Mine is my Bible, and the lines are very short (about half a sentance)...so this makes no sense by itself. But anyway....here 'tis:

Book: The Bible
Line: "'me, and because I have plenty.' Thus"

P.S.--My favorite line so far was definitely the one about Darth Vadar, very funny!
