Bad Luck!!! Why me???

I am just wondering why it seems to be that bad luck is following me lately? I was in a car accident (my fault of course, I rear ended someone) about 2 mos. ago. It took a long time to get the car fixed because insurance decided not to cover the claim. Anyway, I just got the car back from the shop on Tues. My husband and I were at Babies R Us tonight getting my daughter a 1st birthday present when a woman totally backs up into the driver side of my car-completly smashing in the rear drivers side door!!! Now I am on my way back to the repair shop tomorrow to get the door fixed. So that is why I ask WHY ME!!!!!!

I guess I should just be thankful that in both instances nobody was injured!

Well thats just life, things always happen in three`s so I should be prepared Anyway cars are material and can be repaired
(most of the time ) people are not so lucky. I once witnessed a 6 year old child killed when his grandmother pulled out of a side parking bay and was hit by a car at 30mph. The child who was in the back seat and not wearing a belt was thrown across the seat and banged his head on the door on the opposite side of the car.

Well, at least you won't have to pay for this repair.

I guess you were just in the wrong place at the wrong time.

Personally, I don't believe it coincidence, I believe everything happens for a reason. Maybe this is a wakup call for you to be more aware of your surroundings, or to appreciate the good things you DO have.

As a poster before me said, these are just material things. Thank God for the health of your child, yourself and your husband.

These incidents are just bumps in your road of life.

I too believe that everything happens for a reason-and maybe it is so that I am more aware of my surroundings, although I thought I was pretty aware. I am lucky that no one is injured and that the door that was damaged is the door that needed some work done on it anyway with the locking mechanism. I am about to take it back to the repair shop that I picked it up from on Tues. because the headlights needed readjusting, but now I am afraid to show my face there-they will laugh me right out of the building! Oh well, such is life!

I had something similar to me happen a few years ago: I had a delivery truck turn into me after he had stopped at the side of the road for a minute so I went to pass him thinking he was...making a delivery and he apparently had the wrong address. I had a Kia at the time, this was back when they were brand new, so they didn't have any parts readily available and it took 6 weeks to get my car fixed. I had my car back a week and I flipped it on an icy road I was fine, the car was a complete disaster....but they didn't total it! As soon as I got the car back this time, which was another 6 weeks and unlike last time the car was completely undrivable so i was without a car I traded that puppy in! In addition to these 2 accidents, i was involved in 2 others in this car, I was totally convinced it was trying to kill me, Carrie anyone?
