David has been feeding a colony of ferals for years
When he decided to move his location to the new building he was determined to rehome them all there
They respond to him and trust him. So after they recover from their operations they will go to the new place and be in a large cage with litters, food, water, bedding etc. they are already used to the sounds of the business so it shouldn't be too bad, they need to stay in the cage for about a month, so they don't try to travel back to the new place.

Teddy is the OFFICE cat, spoiled rotten and 20 lbs

They all seem good, they are gorgeous cats...there is a huge Tom cat, he's most likely the Alpha...as of last night we haven't gotten him, he's got to be @ 20 lbs he was so sweet rubbing against the other cats
But he may be too smart to get in the trap

Helen,

I'm so glad you got that many of them trapped!
How many do you think are left? Those kitties are so lucky to have you and DH

p.s. do we get pictures once they're settled? lol

My Mom worked for a construction company that was across the street fromt he owner's home. The owner's cat (Cat-Cat) had free run of the entire office. She was fond of the rug in the estimator's office and would lay there even when he had clients. She did earn her keep by catching voles that got in from the garage/storage area.

I can't tell you what a smile this thread brought! You David is a keeper
.

It is rare enough to have a company care for the ferals in the area, but to be willing to move the colony when they move the company is just outstanding.

You two really do deserve big, big kudos

Lucky kitties. If the big boy is too smart for the trap try having David or the employee who the kitty trusts try feeding him in a large cat carrier. He may just walk in and then they could shut the door. Ask the vet about this first though as it will be much harder for them to get him out without injury to themselves.

I third the motion for pics once they are settled

Thanks

We ended up with 2 raccoons they were scared to death poor babies, man they were huge!!

We had to let one of the kitties go she was the Mama of the week old kittens and David saw them this morning so they are okay!! BUT I don't know whats going to happen, we may never get her in a trap again
And the kittens are far too young right now.

So we had 7 to take to the vets...3 girls 4 boys 2 of the girls were already spade, they shaved them and saw their scar... David couldn't remember who they trapped before
So they just got there ears clipped, and one got spade. One is a long hair tortie she is so gorgeous!!

So anyway the only ones who have eaten since last night are the boys, the girls will not eat
David thinks they are scared. Should I be worried????

BTW, David took pics of them all with his cell phone before we brought them into the vets, not sure how they came out though, I will take some when they get settled in the big cage!

Yes I have it but they are being moved today to the new place and will be put in the cage and it's in a warehouse and there is no way, we would need 100 feliways plug-ins for it to work
So I am going to put Walnut essence in their water to help them adjust and I have some Feliway spray I could spray before they get in the cage.

Does the walnut have the same effect as the Bach Rescue Remedy?. If it does can you add a few drops to their paws as well so they lick it off just incase they don't drink straight away.

Drape the cages with sheets so they will feel more comfortable, too.

Sending HUGE prayers for Momma kitty and her babies. She will more than likely go in the cage again for food.

When I first brought Lucia in she wasn't so keen to eat. I think she was scared and she missed the great outdoors. Now she is lapping it up like she is in on a cat food eating contest. They will be okay. Hunger is a great motivator. I would use the Feliway spray. You get more bang for your buck in a large space. You can put a couple of plug ins near the food area. This may help.

She moves the kittens constantly, today they moved a bale of hay and there they were; David held them, he said they are so sweet
So he moved them somewhere safer because they are still cleaning up the old place...so anyway he went to look after a while and she had moved them again. They needed to be out of the old place like 2 weeks ago
So I don't know what's going to happen but they can't be without her, they are only maybe 2 weeks old.
