We didnt get the House

Someone put in a higher offer after we were told only pour offer would go in.

I'm sorry to hear that. That's ok, it just means the right house is still out there waiting for you!

We were told we have a good chance and then there was a higher offer.

I know it is very disappointing, but there is a better house and a better deal out there for you. There's a perfectly good reason you didn't get this house at this time. Believe in it.

Was that the house with the pretty yard, but sort of small for the price (or at least I think it was)? If so, keep looking. You should be able to find something, and who knows? You may find something better!
Maybe try looking a little ways out of town? You could end up with more yard that way.



DH and I are house shopping, too. We checked one out today that they want 97k for - a little high considering it needs an overhaul on the inside and that there may be some water damage outside because of poorly placed flower beds. If in top shape inside it would be worth more. But overall, it has a nice floor plan and has 3 bedrooms (or as we would use them - computer room, reptile room, bedroom ). It's also outside of town, no through traffic!

I'm sorry. That just means that your house is still out there, waiting for you to find it.

We keep getting outbid. We have looked at other areas here also. The problem is we can not go to areas without Kaiser or we lose our Medical. We did look out your way catsknowme and in Nevada but no Kaiser.

Can't you just change medical insurances?

Wow! I know a bunch of people trying to sell their houses who can't get any offers at all. You guys out there must have a way different housing market-- here everything is going for about 75% or less of its actual value. My sister might be selling soon, and even with new roof, new windows, newly finished basement, and brand-new driveway and garage they expect to lose money after only living there 5 years.

Well, I sure hope you can find a house. It's frustrating either way.

The reason these houses go fast is they are bank owned and selling for way less then they did before. We need to stay with Kaiser because the other option costs double. We took a 200 thousand loss on my Grandparents House.

Is that Kaiser Permanente? (health insurance)? I'll check in MN and see if its up here if you want. We have plenty of houses to pick from

Thats what is it. I have had Kaiser since I was a Baby. I was born there. My friend in South Dakota told me to come there also. Dont you have alot of Snow in Minn?

Well yeah, but is that a problem? Besides they say living in colder climates you live longer And I'm up here (as well as several other posters) - isn't that reason enough to come and live here?
