HI I have a cat that needs a new home in the montreal area he is perfect and wonderfull in all ways the only reason that he needs a new home is that he doesn't think that my other cats deserve attention and i really can not give him what he needs as far as attention is required. I think that he would do wonderfull with an elderly person looking for a companion cat. he is very affectionate an just wants to be pet all the time.

Aww, don't give up on your boy!
How old is he? How long has he been with you? Why do you think an elderly person would be better for him?

HI Yayi,

I'm not giving up that quickly. He was bought as a companion for my recently adopted cat (2 years ago), by about 6 months I realized that there was jealousy between them. I waited a little while hoping that as he got older then they would start too like each other more. @ one year it was clear that they were just not getting along. Every time I was paying attention to one the other would try to but in. I decided to get one more kitten hoping that while I was occupied with one the other would be kept occupied by another cat. It didn't work. I started to see the pattern that Desert was the one butting in and getting upset if I spent any time with the other cats. He is highly affectionate and loves to be pat all the time. Some one who has time would be best for him. Also he would have to be placed in a single pet household. He is very smart and loves to climb. He just wants to be the only one getting all the attention. I work full time and (now) have 2 other cats that also require my attention, they get along fine and share everything so I need to do what is best for all of them. Believe me if I didn't think it was absolutely necessary I would never even think of giving him to a new home. But he has now started to regress in his socialization and is becoming more and more nervous.

Hi everyone,

For all those that looked in on this thread. My DESERT has found his new Forever home.

I'm placing him with a Father and son team the father is an elderly gentleman who will be home often thereby giving DESERT all the love and attention he will need.

I can't figure out how to post pictures but here is his website for those who are interested.
