Diet time for kitty...how?

Nermal and Garfield need to loose a pound or two each. Nermal just recently gained weight after we moved so maybe its stress eating, although everyone seems to be adjusting well. I free feed dry with a little bit of raw sometimes but these two need to slim down so they can be healty and live longer. How should I go about dieting? Theyve always been on free feed and since I have six cats its difficult to monitor who eats what. Help!

I thought my brother was the only one with a Cat named Nermal. When ma y Cat was fat the Vet gave me a thing to measure her food in and I fed her in another room. I have a Cat on Urinary food now and she eats out here. When I let the other Cats out here i take the food away. It works out fine.

I increased wet, decreased dry food portions.

Stimpy wouldn't eat diet food if it was the last thing on earth.
