Tiger has a habit of clawing at the toilet paper leaving shreads all over the place and I was wondering if there is anyway we can stop him from doing this? We clip his nails so thats not the problem and we have a cat house for the two boys and he claws it so it cant be that he's looking for something to rid him of aggression im stumped on how to stop him and toilet paper isn't the cheapest thing >.<

We keep ours in the bathroom cupboard with a childproof lock on it
I never worked out how to get Lyra to stop eating it. The childproof locks are installed all around our house now because I was tired of waking up to emptied cupboards. Furry menances

lol

That's what I was going to suggest. We keep ours in a kleenex box! Well, one of the decorative plastic ones. Evie doesn't eat it, so it doesn't need to be locked, but the between her and the dogs, most things in our bathroom get soaked, and soggy TP is not pleasant!

I know you said you have cat houses for them, but since he seems to love paper, have you tried one of those cardboard scratchers? Evie simply ADORES hers, they don't last a month (and we buy three at once!!), and would go crazy if she didn't have them! She also has a cat house with good scratching posts, and though she sleeps on it, she's only scratched on it once.

thanks for the tips

we do have paper balls around the house for them to play with and we've tried keeping the bathroom door closed but he two love to lay in the sink/tub since it is the coolest place in my apartment.

maybe we'll try the klenex box and it's actually the toilet paper on the roll that you use while doing your business that he claws the rest of the rolls are in the closet lol

Yeah, that's what we keep our kleenex box on! You should see our getup... Wish I had a picture for you! But my toilet isn't a common photo subject.

This is close: http://www.bedbathandbeyond.com/prod...=8&KSKU=114291

Not the exact one we have, but you see the kleenex box / tissue holder there? We basically put that over the TP roll on the TP holder, and pull the paper out the hole. It's funky, but it keeps the top and front dry from any furries playing in the water or after their baths.
It should stop Tiger from being able to roll it all out, too.

Of course, feel free to do whatever works for you! Just an idea. Goldenkitty's idea is probably better, we just used what we had lying around!

My Simba used to shred the toilet paper as punishment for my working long hours. I just didn't leave it out - I kept it in the cabinet next to the toilet. Of course, I had to warn visitors so they knew where to look when the time came when they needed the TP!

chloe only bothered the tp while it was on the roller (same for paper towels.) i would get SO mad at my mom cuz she would come over and put my tp on the roller after REPEATEDLY being told not to and why! grrrr finally chloe grew out of it.
closing the door did me no good since chloe knew how to turn the knob lol but for some reason she never bothered my roomies bathroom and our bathrooms were back to back -- our doors were only a few feet apart. i think she just liked watching ME clean up tp confetti hahaha
