My boyfriend just found out he's diabetic, and it's his birthday on tuesday so I made him his favourite, homemade apple pie (sugar free).
I've never made a pie before, and it looks good....but I forgot to peel the apples.

It should still taste good right?

Yes it should, although you're going to have hardish bits and might be picking stuff about of your mouth most of the time

well, I come from a family that doesn't peel their apples for their applesauce, so it didn't occur to me.

Ah, I'm sure he'll like it!
And if he doesn't, I'll kick him in the shins

LOL! I like that attitude!
I called both my parents (my dad is visiting my grandmother at the moment) and they both said that they don't peel apples when making apple pie.
I'm SURE I'm going to like it, and if he'd rather have them peeled, well, next time I make a sugar free pie for him I'll try to remember it.
I bet he'll be grateful either way

It should be fine. There are lots of people who don't peel their apples for apple pie. It's just a matter of preference.
