This I have no doubt about. You and Teri have always taken such pride in making sure that your cats have contribited positively to the breed.

We all have your, Eva's and Betsy's babies to look forward to seeing. I always admired your cats and always love to see those beautiful eyes, something about their eyes in all of your cats that are just so beautiful.

If my cats liked other cats, I would have loved to have had a few of your babies running around here.

Good luck in your future endeavors to both you and Teri.

What? No more bengal kitten pictures?

Seriously, though, you've both done so much for the breed...heck, I didn't even know about them until your cats caught my eye. Congratulations on a great career.
Enjoy your beautiful cats, and your well-earned rest!

If you start to jones to have kittens in your house, you can always foster...a bunch of moggies would be a breeze after raising athletic bengal babies!

If I had the time and energy for bengal kittens, I would love your little Beethoven or Puccini!

I'm pretty sure that will end up happening. With 1400 sq feet of empty cattery space, we'll have room for a litter of moggies in need once in awhile.

We're also going to officially sign up as a bengal rescue foster home.

You just got me looking around my house and realized without the cat stuff I don't think we would have much lol. We have the normal table, desk, couch yada yada, but the cat trees and toys are everywere and birthing areas in most of the bedrooms besides the stud room.
What are you going to do with that space, maybe put up pics of your babies and open the area up for litter boxes ect to consolidate and enjoy I guess lol. With only 3 years into breeding, I haven't really given much thought to that but I only have 5 kitties.

I, too, will miss seeing the georgous bengal kitten pics from you... That said, I hope you enjoy this new transition in your lifestyle/hobby... Sometimes you just have to move things around once in a while.

If you don't mind me asking, where did you get the house/enclosure from? I've never seen one like it before (and was it made specifically with cats in mind)?

Hi Nial,

I am sad for the Bengal breed, that you will no longer be producing your outstanding Bengal's. You've done so much for the breed. However, I can understand where you might want to have a normal life. So, all I can do at this point is wish you the best of luck in what ever you do. I too will miss seeing pix of your new litters of kittens, however, I'm sure your kitties will enjoy the retired life, as I'm sure you will enjoy being able to live life with a lot more freedom. I hope Loki stopped spraying so he can hang out in the house with the other cats.

Nial, I am so grateful to you for my two little monkeys - I can't even tell you. And that makes me sad that you're giving it up, but I completely understand why.

And I think it is fantastic that you plan to work in Bengal rescue.

Please give Teri a hug from me!

Your amazing cats will love having your attention full time.

I suspect that you will have plenty of calls once you sign up as a Bengal rescue foster home and any moggie who comes under your care will indeed be lucky.

I just saw this thread.

I'm sorry to hear that you are closing. While I do not agree with bringing in more kitties into this world while there are so many homeless kitties, I loved seeing pictures of your kittens and show cats. I will miss that. Each picture gave me that happy "awww!" feeling

I hope you do take in fosters though. Any kitty that comes into your care will be lucky indeed

Best of luck in whatever path the future holds for you. Whatever it is I'm sure you will excell at it.

We're told as breeders that our breeds should be better off for our having been there. I'm glad you get to retire with so much pride, you've done so much for Bengals.

I'm hoping against hope that the old timers in CFA will one day accept the Bengal. . .

This news makes me happy and sad. I am happy to hear that such nice people will get a break to relax and enjoy their beautiful cats and sad to hear that you will no longer be breeding such beautiful animals.

I have only been a TCS member for about a month, but I must say that your photos and intelligent posts have impressed me from the beginning. Actually, your photos and the photos of Nikita have me lusting after a Bengal like there is no tomorrow. I would love to get a Bengal one day.

I have to admit that I was actually dreaming that in a year or two, maybe you would retire one of your queens and I could try to purchase her.
Maybe when my babies are a year or two old (I should be finished with school then), you can help me contact some other reputable Bengal catteries.

I hope we will still get to see photos of your beautiful cats.

I was wondering if someone would ask that.

Titan, Coco, Ares, Tuscany, Loki and Rome. Rome will be shown this year.

Bakula, the F1 female will remain unaltered and go back to our friend in Missouri, but we may take her other spayed F1 girl. Still mulling that over.

So, we'll have 6 bengal pets (4 boys and 2 girls) and maybe the F1 girl.

I appreciate your kind comments.

I will be more than happy to help you find the right breeder when the time comes for a bengal for you, be that a kitten or retired adult.

Congratulations on your retirement
Even though you aren't breeding anymore, I'm sure you'll still be a great contributor to Bengals.

You are very welcome, and also thank you! I know exactly who to speak to when I begin to look for a Bengal to join my household.
