Ok, so we've been married just over 18 years, but we don't often get to have a 'date night' anymore, either just don't feel like it, don't have the time, or don't have the money. Tonight though, we have to deliver a couple of cheesecakes, then we're headed off to a decent eatery for a change! Even nicer?.....one of our clients gave us a gift card and told us they thought that we fed others enough that it was time for us to be treated to something special!
Needless to say, I'm home, have showered, done my hair , picked out my clothes and am working on my nails, lol!

Yay!! That's so great!
My husband and I try to have a date night at least once a month, but it doesn't always quite work out for the same reasons you mentioned. It's always tons of fun when it does, though! I hope that you guys have a really fabulous time!

Awesome! My husband and I have been doing date nights on Saturday for about a year or so now. We had just stopped going out on "dates" not long into our relationship, so I figured it was time to start it up again!

Have fun!!

Have you been out yet? or are you like most women, and are still getting yourself ready? Have you finally made up your mind which shoes to wear? Poor hubby he must be starving by now

Date nights are great! They are even better when your daughter, who is 8 years older than your son, can babysit!

Now she is 21 and she is staying with Ben so that next week when we go on vacation we get to go on a "date vacation."

I read an excellent book on marriage and parenting when I was a senior in high school. It had a lot of great ideas, but one of them was that you should go out with your spouse at least one evening per week, just the two of you, even if it's just for a banana split to share.

Of course, when we were on the road, we ate over 600 meals per year at restaurants.
