Everytime I take Isabel to the vet, she pees in the carrier. She pees on the way there, and on the way back. Do any of your kitties do this? Is there something I can do to make her stop???

It's probably just a nervous thing, I'm sure she doesn't like the car ride... I wouldn't think there's a way to stop it, but you could put a puppy pee pad in the bottom of her crate to catch the mess

Oh edit: unless your vet is going to be getting a urine sample, you could take up her water the night before the vet visit (unless the visit is in the evening then take it up sometime during the day) that way she's not armed for the ride to the vet lol

This last time we did take her food and water up at 9pm the night before! So I thought her bladder would be empty, but boy was I wrong.

I also think it's just nervousness. My mom's cat used to poop in his carrier. He would poop anytime he was afraid, including the first time we clipped his claws.

Kitty is the same. You could try spraying the car and carrier with Feliway about half an hour before you load up and travel, but yeah, I`ve found puppy pads to be very useful!

Also give her Rescue Remedy in her water the week leading up, and on the day either directly in the mouth or patted onto the head/ears. It will help calm her down.

Try leaving the carrier out so she can sleep in it, put some treats in there. Also shut the door and drive her around the block, so she doesn't just go in it for vet checks.
