So for about the last month Murfie has had almost like a rash on her neck that wouldnt seem to heal. I know im a bad mum for delaying taking her to the vet for so long but i wanted to see if it would fix itself seeing it wasnt so bad..anyway i digress...
Last night i came home from work and she was fine, I went to get the groceries and was home no longer than an hour later and found that half her face had ballooned up! I rang the vet straight away and he was able to fit me in. He said looking at her neck and her face he was 98% sure she had a food allergy to fish, the other 2% he thought she could have an insect bite. He gave her 3 injections (which im not going to try and spell!!) and we worked out that iit is definitely fish she's allergic too as around the time the rash appeared she started being fussy with her food and not eating anything with fish. He said this is because she knew it made her feel funny (smart girl). But unknowingly i was still giving her fish by products in her biscuits so that's why the rash wasnt going away!
Anywho im now wondering what dry food i should feed her (the wet side of things is sorted). i was thinking royal canin or something but if anyone has any better suggestions please let me know!
