Instead of using white underwear (like you would think) its better to use light tan/cream underwear so it looks closer to skin color

Last summer I made the mistake of buying a really cute white skirt...that is way too thin! I never did find an apropriate way of wearing it (and everyway was tried) so let us know what works for you. Then maybe I can wear my skirt out at least once...

She had a white dress on, and you could see everthing that under it, when she was standing in direct sunlight.
not joking, you could see everything(not that i minded she was cute) she was getting mad that people where staring at her.
I would take them to a tailor and have them put in a lining. Pants are more comfortable with a lining anyway.
I did wear a black thong underneath a white gypsy skirt a couple of years back, me thinking that no one would really notice it
I suppose the good thing for me though, was that I got the attention

I just don't find co,mando comfy when there is a heavy crotch seam involved. I was wearing some rather brightly colored panties when I tried them on and boy... was that obvious.

I'm thinking of wearing them today as the high is 90 and if it's like it was yesterday it's going to be stuffy too. Hopefuly I have somthing in my arsenal of undies that will work.
ETA: Well, I went with (dull) white boy shorts panties and they work well. I tried nude but it still didn't look right. My friend at work has give me the

Have you tried a slip under it? That should work, and if you can't find a slip to match that length - get to sewing and alter one.

Get the stuffs as are and just wearing it in private for DH!
This works really well for sheer-ish clothing! Even if you wore underwear with it, it'll reduce how much it shows through.

I found those but I don't want the body shaping. Shaping garments tend to be very restrictive and half the reason I got linen is because it's light and comfortable.
I carried my umbrella all day yesterday.
See above... it looks like Spanx are shaping garments.
