Our daughter came home from college late last night. DH left to pick her up at the airport. I stayed home and fell asleep. Ben stayed up, so he was too tired and whiney to go to school today. It is 10 am and both are still sleeping.

So, I bagged the swim clinic so I can see Jenny when she gets up - she is still on EDT. If she isn't in the next 45 minutes, I am going to Aquafit anyway. DH, who is telecommuting today, is going to drive me and pick me up with the sleepy heads so we can go out to our favorite Mexican restaurant (not Yucatan, Rigel). Jen says that you can't get good Mexican food, if any, in upstate NY.

Not in Elmira, NY if you don't have a car.

I have had some good "Mexican" food in the northeast...but it wasn't TexMex or CalMex. It tasted fine, but it tasted like it was made by someone from the local area adapting everything to the local taste.

The worst Mexican food I've ever had was on a cruise ship. It tasted like the recipe had been faxed from Texas to Norway, translated into Norwegian, then translated into Italian, then read to the chef on the ship by a non-Italian speaker over a bad phone line.
