So my boyfriend and I are looking for a dog. Unfortunately due to my boyfriends tendency to meticulously plan everything out detail to detail I keep losing to dogs Iâ€[emoji]8482[/emoji]m interested in. Iâ€[emoji]8482[/emoji]m not mad at that though, just means one more dog will be adopted. Anyway, I am on Kijiji to see if there is anyone giving away a dog that gets along with cats (obviously, our first priority) and I came across a dog that looks exactly like a pup that just came to the SPCA (I volunteer 5 days a week normally) the ad said that the dog already found a home.

I emailed this person and said I am 90% sure that the dog in the ad has been admitted to the SPCA so whoever they gave the dog to lied about giving him a home. I just got a sad reply back from a woman saying she got pregnant by her ex but then they broke up, she had no money so had to move out of town to her mothers. Her ex promised her that he would find this dog a great home but the day after she moved he brought him to the SPCA.

Unfortunately this dog is having an extremely horrible time, he wont eat, all he does is shake, and wont acknowledge anyone because he is so scared. This poor woman is devastated (I feel really bad for her even though I am slightly criticizing her in my mind. Why get an animal if you just going to get rid of them in a few months… dogs have feelings too) she has asked me to visit him and give her an update since she is really upset. I might end up with this dog, even more so now that I think the boyfriend maybe abused him see below for his online profile.

This poor little guy is very nervous and going to need a lot of socializing with praise and reward for good behaviour. Currently, Chevy is very uncomfortable with strangers and stresses quickly in play or when he is unsure. He will need to learn how to trust people. His previous owners said Chevy will need continued work in house-training and may have some separation anxiety. He has lived with cats. Chevy is afraid of children, so an adult-only home please. In the right home with the time, patience and ability to work with Chevy, he would likely develop a close and rewarding bond with his family.

Sounds so sad! Even his picture looks like his is terrified and trying to run away.

Poor dog. Some folks just don't deserve to live (like the boyfriend). I truly hope they get their just rewards.

I totally agree. And I also think that you should have this little puppy because you will give him a much better life than those miserable *********'s would have done
