Good morning my dear friends…

Today I have the privilege to post here your daily question for the Lounge…
I want to mention that all questions here are just for the unique porpoise of fun and of course, to stay in touch with all members, and to know what do you think about it…
of course sometimes some questions are a kind of silly but funniest in the bottom!..
… so lets begin…

- How do you like the Homes? With one floor? I mean do you like to distribuite all rooms in one floor? Or you like a home with 2 floors…
…

Hmm, good question. I like two story houses because they just seem bigger plus I like having the stairs to have to climb... it's great exercise! But the one story houses are just convenient, everything is easily accessible!

We have a two story house right now. I like it cause we have the bedrooms upstairs (well all but one bedroom) and the living quarters downstairs. The thing I do not like about two stories is the constant up and down when gathering laundry, putting away laundry and other things like that.

I love two-story homes. I hope that my husband and I will be able to have one someday. I just really love stairs for some reason!

I like multiple level houses - I think it's nice to separate living areas from the bedrooms. You can also get more versatility out of a lesser space. DH prefers sprawling one level houses though, so when we go to buy things will be interesting

I like two levels! It reminds me of my childhood home. I just like stairs!

Besides, it's really fun to throw a ball up them and watch Trina go tearing after it, only to have it be sucked down by gravity! Especially on days when she doesn't feel like bringing her balls back to me.. Hah!

My dream home is a one level U shaped home all stretched out with a swimming pool in the center, but I have stairs now.

I like one story, big sprawling homes!

I don't mind living in a place with stairs, but I HATE moving furniture up and down stairs. I just... I hate it with an unreasonable passion.

I want to buy a one story house!

I have always loved the traditional New England cape! However, as I have aged and also saw how my Mother struggled with the "stair" issue as she grew older, when I bought my house 3 years ago, I chose a single story "ranch" style. Living alone, it is the most practical situation for me and I do not miss climbing stairs at all!

Isn't that why there are movers?
All the times we moved except for the last one were for job changes so the companies paid for them. We paid for the last one. It was easy to move the furniture to the downstairs because our house is built on a hill and you can get into both levels from the outside.

Anyway, I prefer two levels because you can have the downstairs a little
messy and guests don't have to see it!

Everything on the main floor except for an attic bonus room. That way, when we are really old and have knee problems (or whatever) we don't have to go up there. But in the meantime our daughter loves indoor stairs and it lets her work off some energy.

NEVER a three-storey house; the third storey is always haunted.

The furkids love to play on the stairs, but I think our next place will be all on one level -- in deference to increasingly creaky human bodies.

Our house built here in Wisconsin in 1977 is called a quad level.

When you enter the front door we have a kitchen/half bath and smaller living room. You can proceed upstairs where the 3 bedrooms and full size bathroom is or go downstairs where we have a 23 x 24 ft family room with a laundry area and another half bath. This room has a door to the outside too. Or proceed down another flight of steps to the basement where is it smaller as it is the same footprint as the level with the kitchen. In the basement we have yet another bathroom with a big shower and a sink and a large walk in pantry where my chest freezer is and where I store all my home canned items and extra foodstuff. The basement also has a door that leads to another flight of steps up into the garage.

So yes there are lots of steps!! I grew up in a ranch and Neil grew up in a two story so this is an adjustment for the both of us but we have lived hear since 1987.

I used to always want a huge 3 story house, then I started thinking about how much I just love 1-story ranch homes! They look much larger, considering the space has to be stretched out along one floor! We are building a 1-story 1640sq ft ranch very soon
