Is she mewing each time she piddles? If so she could be in pain....it's possibly a UTI. Get it checked out asap at your vets.

It will NOT go away by itself. Its a urinary tract infection. She needs to be seen by a vet immediately. Anytime a cat (especially a male) is in and out of the litter box and pees very little or frequently, is a sign to get to the vet - don't wait around.

In males, if they block and cannot pee - they will die in a few days.

Please don't give tomato puree or cranberry juice unless the vet advises you to do so and tells you the quantities. They could potentially make her sicker--tomatoes can be toxic. Please have a vet check her urine for signs of an infection. If she has an infection, she will need antibiotics to clear it up. If she does not, the vet may recommend a glucosamine supplement, like Cosequin, to help rebuild the lining of the bladder wall and ease her discomfort.

Better go to the vet to be sure. I've heard they sell litter that changes color if a cats pee ph is off and indicates a UTI. Ask your vet about that as well. Feeding good wet food, and I do dry food too, will help get more fluids in your cat to reduce the chance of it happening again.

Go to the Vet now. My Coco did that again on Thurs and the Infection was back. We took her to Er before that. Do not put anything in her food. Your Cat has a Uti.
