*****KatKwiz! - June 1 - Where is DW?

Note that it is early here and that I have got up early to keep my promise about posting every day. But DW is not here. I could walk down to the garage and see if her car is gone, but here is what I think has happened. She knows I, since my illness, never get up this early and I am guessing she has snuck off to her sister's house and is picking up Persi & Alley to have them in the house when I get up! But, I fooled her and will sit right here at this table until the cats get here!

Oh, I almost forgot, there is supposed to be a quiz, here it is:

Here is what I came up with up doing a search on behavior using Persi and Alley sorted from the beginning with the thread title of Persi is getting married!

KatKwery: Right now the cats are laying at the foot at the bottom of the stairs, each waiting for somebody to make the move in going up the stairs first. They had to get to know one another. They had to do the "sniff test" and determine the pecking order. Who would be the alpha cat and what not. Once they determined that and got to know each other and accepted each other, then the rest would be history. Some cats, no matter how hard you try, just will not be friends with or accept any other cats that come into the household. Those cats are normally older cats and would only be happy in a single cat household.

Was Persi and Alley happy to see you? How was your reunion?

It seems to me Persi and Alley have a lot of respect for each other. I think when cats first meet they have to establish a set of rules with each other.

Well at first they were seperated and each had different toys, and had to get used to each other I imagine. Right now they are bonded, next to each other and together, cautiously waiting to go upstairs, curiously wondering what is up there and genually love each other! Im sure they both had to accept each others presence, and test boundries to see who was in charge, or for all I know they are both alpha and get along that way! Now they are happily married, love the company of each other, and are lost without one another! I think when you got them they were seperate individuals, and now they are one whole!! Which is wonderfull! I think at first they may have been uncomfortable with one another, and now are not! I dont know the kitties so Im making it up as I go! How was your happy reunion??? Were they tickled pink to see you?? Oh I bet they play together also, and they probably fought before a little bit! Maybe some hissing, growling, batting at each other, the usual stuff!

Well I of course I saw the link to the 12th meet date, and belive they will always love each other, after being shy at first, and after gathering thier own toys and scenting them, they will be happy to see each other furever. I'm glad everyone is healthy again and playing like nothing happened I hope.
