Hi

Im new to this forum and am looking for some advice from those who have experience with cats/kittens.

Me and my girlfriend have just bought two 8 week old kittens. They are sisters and are always play fighting with each other. Yesterday morning we noticed poppy had a slight limp. At first we were unable to see which leg. As the day went on we noticed it was her front front right, she started to limp very heavy so we took her to the emergency vets. The vet examined her and made her walk on it to see if she would put weight on it. She would but reluctantly.

She giver her an injection and us some anti flamatories. Today she has made no improvement. She now really cries when we pick her up but she will still try and walk on it.

Should we maybe see how she goes for a bit longer or call the vets again?
Im really worried that if she has an xray at her young age she may not wake up. Im also very worried that she may die of being in pain?

Is this possible? I love them so much and worry alot?

The vet also said that her sister just could have give her a nasty bite to become the dominant one and she's feeling it, could this hhave happened?

Thank you

Paul

She may have sprained it.
If you feel worried and you don't see improvements I would call the vet or get a second opinion.
I usually call the vet if I need some reassurance or to check to see if my cat is healing appropriately.
Kittens can play rather rough sometimes and get carried away.
